The Georgetown Heritage Society originally approached Graphismo in 2007 to rebrand it's Holiday Home Tour, an annual tradition and one of their most visible events. The tour is designed to showcase historic homes and buildings with varying architectural styles in Georgetown.
Over the years, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the Georgetown Heritage Society in a variety of projects.
In 2008, The Williamson Museum approached Graphismo to create a logo as part of its rebranding effort to showcase the museum as an interesting, eclectic place to visit. The museum is located on the Georgetown Square in Georgetown, TX, the county seat of Williamson County. The challenge in this project was to create an identity that is not only unique, but that it represents the Williamson Museum’s mission, as well as it’s vision for growth in the future.
The longhorn was selected for it’s beauty, strength and popularity in this region. Our abstract longhorn pays a tribute to the cowboys and cattle drives that are a big part of the Williamson County’s history, but it adds an element of surprise, playfulness and of the unexpected. It’s an original piece of art that appeals to both kids and adults. It’s meant to trigger the viewers curiosity and challenge the public’s perception about the museum. Over the years, Graphismo has created logos and marketing materials for the Chisholm Trail Days and the Cattlemen's Ball, two of the Museum's annual events.
We love the graceful curve of the reindeer’s neck and the swirls in the woman’s hair and the emotion that is evoked by the logo.
The Williamson Museum Logo is featured in the book "Designing for the Greater Good: The Best in Cause-Related Marketing and Nonprofit Design" by Peleg Top and Jonathan Cleveland, as well as in "LogoLounge Book 6".
