The City of Round Rock's Arts and Culture Department oversees annual festivals, public art programs, and fosters the growth of its creative community. In 2018, it conceived the idea of the city's first-ever wine festival in celebration of the annual worldwide uncorking of Beaujolais Nouveau.
The Arts and Culture department was presenting a first-time event and needed to develop marketing in the same moment it was still figuring out the elements of the event, beyond just wine and jazz. It was also working with the idea that this was an unfamiliar wine to locals without a Francophile community,
Not only did we develop the identity for this event, its tagline, and an award-winning poster (thank you, TAMIO!), but we also crafted original artwork tent backdrops to suggest a variety of scenes and add French atmosphere. We are happy to report the event won first place for first-time festivals from TAMIO.
